Jessie Canto is a veteran of the Templar War for Independence. She stumbled into being a Full Rig driver, serving valiantly in several battles down on the hellish Venusian surface. She seemed to have an instinct for piloting the high mobility mechas in combat, despite being otherwise overlooked by her leadership.
But she received no accolades or honors for her service. She left the surface with extensive scarring on her right hand and her daughter Helen: the daughter of an illegal, wartime marriage with a husband who died in the war's final battle.
